Overnight Moves
Today’s market opening is mostly flat or in the red, with the metals taking most of the fall, as uncertainty in the Middle East continues.
Tencent (700), following the market trend, saw a 1.7% drop, which will have an impact on Naspers (NPN) and Prosus (PRX) shares. Meanwhile, Sasol has seen some growth as oil seems to be the only winner following yesterday’s headlines. It remains to be seen if the situation stabilises this week.

S&P500
The S&P500 Index continues to move sideways close to all-time high levels, without getting closer to the predicted weekly lows or highs, making it one of the hardest shares to play with. Regarding news of individual stock; Tesla’s (TSLA) share price spiked after beating the expectations on its earnings, but the gains were quickly lost following yesterday’s news, and Tesla has returned to a state of wait-and-see. Also worth noting are Intel (INTC) and Lockheed Martin (LMT), as well as Dow (DOW), if you have invested in oil, as they have earnings scheduled for today.

Software
The software sector had a disappointing day yesterday, with ServiceNow (NOW) and Adobe (ADBE) trading poorly despite yesterday’s announcements. This, in conjunction with yesterday’s headlines, has meant that the sector has traded low today, and now all eyes are on Microsoft (MSFT), with its upcoming earnings scheduled on the 29th of April, next Wednesday.
